Sealing the Envelope

Rough electrical passed inspection. Getting ready for insulation. To create a very tight "envelope" around the house, we sealed all the penetrations to the outside to prevent air infiltration. We used spray foam around the windows and doors, exterior electrical boxes, gas line piping, electric supply lines, etc.

The back of an exterior electric receptacle from the inside of the house.

We even caulked the sill plate at the slab floor and foamed around the back of all the electrical boxes on an exterior wall.
